The Lost Children

In January 2021, our southern border was wide open to everyone and anyone, including gun- and drug-runners, criminals, and human traffickers selling women and children.

One morning my husband stood in our kitchen complaining to God about this travesty. Suddenly, he felt the Lord stop him and prompt him to ask a question: “What do you want us to do?” Right away he heard the answer: “Take care of the children.” This eventually led to our making three trips to Texas—two of them to the border. We prayed and followed the Lord’s guidance, we met and encouraged a number of people, and we know that God had us on these assignments for a purpose. What was unusual—to us, at least—was that we didn’t see any trafficked children.

So where are the over 85,000 unaccompanied minors who crossed our border and were released within the U.S.? Unfortunately, this question is still being asked by some. A recent documentary, “Where Did The Children Go,” released by America’s Future on October 26, 2023, sheds light on the intake and exploitation of children as revealed through the experiences of four whistleblowers, who were working at the Pomona Fairplex Intake Center in California for HHS or sole-sourced* contractors.

Here are some points revealed by the whistleblowers as taken from the America’s Future press release:

  • how a Gentlemen’s Club was used as a drop-off site for migrant children;
  • how traffickers infiltrated the child intake center and, once known, were simply released into the U.S. without arrest or any other punishment;
  • how the U.S. government knowingly released children to unknown and unvetted  “sponsors,” including children being “handed off to the wrong people” at [various] destinations, in lieu of returning the children to the intake shelters from which they originated;
  • how the U.S. government denied repeated requests for accountability review of sole-sourced multimillion-dollar NGO contracts that fuel the continuation of child abuse and trafficking.

Tara Rodas, who worked for HHS, gave her testimony before Congress in April 2023 shares “That’s what we [all four of the whistleblowers] want to see: accountability and transparency for the children and for the hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars that are funding child trafficking.”

If you haven’t seen this documentary, it is well worth 42 minutes of your time.

Prayer Points

Close our southern border to all trafficking and nefarious activity.

Cleanse our land from the unjust treatment and harm that our own government is causing children. Forgive us for sinning
against you, Lord.

Uncover the plots and schemes of those who knowingly transport children to unsafe destinations. Block and destroy the plans of the cartel.

Reveal the locations to which these children have been taken, rescue them, and lead them to safety.

Bring a revelation of your holiness and put the fear of God in the hearts of those who hold the children hostage.

Send a spirit of repentance to authorities in government and NGOs, so they turn from this evil.

Ring the death toll to demonic root structures and idolatry, like the love of money which fuels this destructive behavior seeking to destroy young people.

Decrees

These young lives will not be separated from the love of God. Romans 8:35

They will triumph in God’s demonstrated love. Romans 8:37

Captives will be set free, saved, and fully delivered from evil. Matthew 6:13.
