Doing a New Thing!

The prayer call started with our leader reading from Isaiah 43:16-21 with the words, “stop dwelling on the past…Behold I will do something new,” I can’t tell you the number of times I have heard this. We even have calligraphy on our dining room wall with this verse, in case I forget. This course correcting truth is tucked in God’s promise box of verses for His purpose for me.

But this morning, once again this word like a flaming arrow landed in my heart, as if for the first time. You see, minutes before I’d been dwelling, wondering how the new could possibly come through the sludge of the old. Asking the Lord for a word, He certainly gave it to me through this tried and true one. Tears welled up. Yes, I need to think His thoughts, not my old ones.

Prophetic words indicate this is a new season, not just the turning of the calendar into resolution hopeful keepers of January. No, this is God’s reset, a time where His glory will shine IN his children, that’s us, 8 or 85, age won’t matter, where child like trust will.

Some months ago, I had a vision of a spotlight on stage, where the audience watched as the light moved about on stage left. Suddenly, the spotlight exited the stage to pop around the room. People were rubber necking (in other words rolling there necks right, left, and back) in order to follow the light. No one was paying attention to what might be happening on the stage any longer. The real show was taking place in the audience among normal, everyday people. No staging it.

At one point the spotlight was all the way in the back and there was a sense that colored lights were stacked above it like chunks of light. Later on, I understood this to be the cloud of witnesses who agreed and cheered God’s ‘show’ in the spotlight in the back of that theater.

I believe this “off the stage” glory, producing signs, wonders, and miracles will shine through everyday folks like you and me. This destiny plus our heaven initiated decrees and prayers released on earth will agree with the saints having gone before us and bring about the synergy of the ages. We get to be a part of God’s end times strategy to bring in the greatest harvest the world has seen. Yes, Yahweh is breathing on his bride to shine his power through her. Amazing good news!

So, what does this have to do with trafficking, you may ask? Literally a miracle could look like whole cities falling at the feet of Jesus. The sudden suddenlies of hating their filthy rags of sin, throwing out their porn, grossed out at what is happening to innocent children, buyers losing their lust, and confessions made of greed and exploitation. Suddenly a people who want to do what is right. Imagine a generation/s hungering for truth, for knowing the word and how to live by it. All ages asking questions about their purpose and how to get right with God? Imagine this miracle with me. The question then becomes, are we ready to love them unconditionally? Are we ready to train the thousands in righteousness? Our prayers are powerful tools to lead us into this new challenge.

Pray with me,

Yahweh, you are our breath, from the moment you breathed us into our mother’s womb. We thank you for this new thing you are doing, especially for the sake of this young generation, our children, grandchildren, and greats, to bring about your revival. We call in a new hunger and thirst for righteousness to spring up within them, to call out to you, their Savior and receive the inheritance that belongs to them.

Yes, you will reveal yourself to Zion and appear in the brightness of your glory. Ps. 102:16 to restore her and give her children. You respond to the prayers of your mamas and papas who have cried out. You will answer. Bring your unmistakeable glory through your bride to initiate healing and redemption.

Thank you Lord for your marvelous work.

We pray this in your precious Son’s name.

Amen!
